I know that they cracked down on the banks for charging high interest rates. One company was charging $250 interest on a $500 instant loan and making interest off the back when they file their taxes.

STOP! Don’t even look for a refund anticipation loan. It is about the worst deal you can find and just made for suckers. Save a bunch of money by efiling and having direct deposit of your refund in about two weeks.
Check out turbo tax and electronic filing. These days you can get a refund in about a week without th ridiculous fees charged by tax prep places. How desperate are you to pay hundreds of dollars to get a refund on the spot??? It’s your money… why waste it in fees???
