I just saw they are offering this service at the tax offices. Has anyone done it? What are the fees and conditions? This is different than the Refund Anticipation loan, with the Instant Money Advance loan you don’t even need your W-2.
The website says the max amount can be $2,500.

My husband and I were in a real pinch for money and we did the advance loan with H & R Block. The fees were a bit much. Something like 167.00 or so and they took it right off the top. If you qualify for the 1500.00 you cannot choose to take a smaller amount, or so we were told. We only needed like 425.00. If you are in a real bind it could help you out, but keep in mind the fees are high. I would definitely say wait if you can at all.
Yes there is fees, and they are pretty steep.
When we applied we had to get the maximum amount ($1500) and we couldn’t choose how much we wanted (which was only $300)
With tax season just a few weeks awat before getting your W2 forms I would say wait.
We were in a real bind and needed the money. If you can wait please do so, and save yourself alot of money.
The fee was like $200 if I remember right and they took it right off the top and we only got $1400 of the 1500 loan. Then they will still charge toy when they file your taxes.
Definate ploy to hit the poor at the Holiday seasons
