How would one go about paying for a summer semester in college?

Published under Instant Guranteed Online Loans Nsf Bank Account by admin.

I am not in college yet, but I REALLY want to take Summer II semesters so I am not in school forever (as I want to go up to at least a masters degree.) The thing is though, I do not have money and have an EFC of 0 (I have not filed a FASFA since I am a junior in high school, but used an online calculator) so I really am not sure if this would be possible without taking out a loan. I do plan to be in the work-study program, but I do not think it would cover everything even if I worked the whole year.

Any suggestions on what I could do? I really need to know my options so I can put colleges with a 4 year guarantee into consideration if there is no way to fund my 1st choice with the summer semesters. Thank you!

There are two sources for student loans — the federal government and private lenders. In order to obtain most federal student loans, you will first need to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In mostyou can combine all of your eligible federal student loans into one loan with a Federal Consolidation Loan. Consolidating also locks the interest rate you pay on your loan.

If you have an efc of 0, that is good. The lower the number the bigger your financial aid package will be. You could also apply for a short-term loan, or when you file the fafsa mark the student loan option to see what you will get. you should file asap because the sooner you do the fafsa the bigger amount you will recieve.
