Damn skippy it does, and I’ve lived here for 20 years.
But the thing with the payday loans are that people have got too damn dependent on them, and it fucks them over. Paying 99%APR sucks, but imaging doing it over and over week after week, that’s what screws people.

take away paydaylending and the mob steps in and does it and then you have tony soprano collecting on loans instead of regulated lenders. Real smart. Wait until there are bodies floating in the river because paydaylending has been shut down. Funny thing is banks get away with it on overdraft charges and credit card companies get away with it on late fees and no one says a word.

Sickening how many of these places are in town, even more so when you consider (as has been mentioned already) how close many are to one another. If you ever wanted to do another take on this video, try showing how many payday loan sharks are on the stretch of University between Forrest Hill and War Memorial and on south Knoxville.

dis shit is rediculous dam has i wonder how many people realize that there is this many dam loan places here that are sucking the life out of the communities around them. theres 3 on knoxville alone within a 2 block radius now thats dam rediculous.
