What are some things that are required, how can I handle it if they don’t pay me back. These are short term loans, businesses who need money. between 500-2500 dollars. I’m looking for quick return I know this is risky so what are some things I can do to protect myself from fraud and theft?

Try your credit union , prosper or forums.
have a contract specifically stating what exactly will be paid back and when -2 also state in the contract that a piece of equipment is up for collateral (a fryer an oven a refrigerator etc) -if all fails you can go to small claims court and get the money with the contract or keep the equipment and sell it to a supplier
