Has anyone here tried a high yeild investment program online? (HYIP’s) Are they legal? They advertise paying out unbelievable amounts of daily compounded interest. Seems like making money on them is possible but, you would have to get out in time before the bubble bursts.
examples of the websites that I am referring to are: solidinvestment.com, value-discovery.com, newbiehangout.com/hyip and the like. There are a lot more out there, just type in “high yield investment program” into the Yahoo search engine and see what type of websites it lists

It depends on your definition of high yield. If you mean 10-14% it is out there and legitimate. Check out

solidinvestment.com is located in the country of Belize. Investing in Belize is about as safe as investing in Nigeria. It’s a banana republic. As for rescapfunds.com, they are highly speculative, they say so themselves in the link below. I googled High yield investment program with the word “scam” and found out a lot. The US Treasury department considers the phrase “high yield investment program” a red flag that you are probably dealing with a scam. See the second link. I suspect you are reading too much spam e-mail…

Scam, watch out!
Never invest in high yeild for the short term, you usually loose money for the first few years.
